Here’s a great quote:

He’s right of course.  John McCain is a crazed psychopath who never met a war he didn’t want to immediately involve the United States in militarily.  To him there is always a good guy and bad guy in every foreign dispute and the USA has to recklessly charge in and help the good guy.  If hundreds of thousands or millions of people get killed along the way?  No biggie.  “We” meant well and that’s all that matters.  And of course any foreigner who survives a US war of aggression is welcome to move to the United States at taxpayer expense.  And US troops can never leave these foreign lands and the wars can never officially end.  “We” must occupy the conquered country permanently.

The people of Arizona, and indeed all Americans, should be ashamed that a man like this sits in the US Senate.  (Although to be honest a lot of horrible people have “served” and continue to “serve” in Congress.)

I am also glad to see that Ron Paul’s son is opposing any position in the Trump Administration for the neocon John Bolton:

“I think John Bolton would be much closer to McCain than Trump and I think that his history of sort of acting on his own, my fear is that secret wars would be developing around the globe. So no, I think he would be a bad choice,”

Michael Flynn resigned.  99% of the American people have never heard of this guy, but it’s huge news because he spoke with the Russian ambassador, US spies recorded it, and he didn’t tell Vice President Pence that he spoke to them.  The War Street Journal is up in arms:

In just a few weeks, the nascent administration is being weighed down from within, sidetracked by dishonesty and potential ethical lapses as well as attacks from his own supporters and fellow Republicans.

Dishonesty and ethical lapses?  Oh my God!  I just can’t imagine a presidential administration that isn’t 100% honest and ethical.  Impeach Trump now!

John McCain can’t stand it:

“It’s a dysfunctional White House, and nobody knows who’s in charge,”

Whatever asshole.  Flynn wanted good relations with Russia so he had to go even though he was a warmongering maniac when it came to most other countries.  Can’t say I’ll really miss him all that much, but let’s just pray we don’t get some straight up anti-Russian Israel-first neocon as a replacement.

This is what Trump gets for surrounding himself with too many Establishment Republicans who would be more comfortable with a Mike Pence or John McCain than they are with Trump who they view as a threat.  Most of his own subordinates will stop at nothing to derail many of his stated objectives, particularly his foreign policy which isn’t nearly anti-Russian or generally belligerent enough for them.

Can Trump stand up to these bastards?  I have serious doubts that he’s up to it.  And even if he does, they can always manufacture some scandal involving the dreaded Putin to shut him up or possibly even drive him from office.

He vows to block the Israel-First warmonger Elliot Abrams from being named Deputy Secretary of State.

I guess Rand is actually taking Trump’s America First talk seriously.  Good for him.

From an interview that will air prior to the Super Bowl:

“There are a lot of killers,” Trump responded, “We’ve got a lot of killers. What do you think? Our country’s so innocent?”

It’s about time we had a president that accepts reality when it comes to US foreign policy. The idea that the Washington Regime sends its military around the globe blowing shit up solely to help poor innocent foreigners because America is so good and kind hearted is one of the most absurd and dangerous notions that too many people have been buying into for the past seventy years.  Enough is enough.  I seriously doubt Russia has killed more people than the combined bloody efforts of Clinton/Bush/Obama since Putin came to power in 1999.

Of course the War wing of the Republican Party was quick to denounce their own president in their never ending effort to stoke war with Russia.  In his response to Trumps statements, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell called Putin a “thug” and claimed his election as Russian president wasn’t “credible.”  This despite having domestic approval ratings that dwarf any recent US president.

For those people out there who hate Trump, think he’s Hitler, and are worried he’s going to destroy Democracy or whatever, calm down.  Just about everyone in the ruling elite is against this man.  Most Republicans who actually hold any power in this country hate him as much as any Democrat, judge, media personality, or corporate CEO does.  They’ll do whatever they can (and they can do a lot) to make sure the wars continue, the subsidized mass migration from the third world continues, and the banksters, merchants of death, drug companies, etc. get paid.

Trump will have a hell of a time making any real changes to the corrupt cesspool known as Washington, D.C.  Chances are when it’s all said and done, despite the chaotic first two weeks and all the America First rhetoric, he’ll have been a much more conventional (and to those who voted for him disappointing) president than anyone expects.
