Most pathetic thing I’ve read in a long time

This:

“It is clear that representing this character in a culturally accurate way holds significance for people, and that to neglect this responsibility would continue a worrying tendency to obscure ethnic minority stories and voice in the Arts. I feel it is important to honour and respect that. Therefore I have decided to step down so the role can be cast appropriately,” the actor wrote in a statement. “Representation of ethnic diversity is important, especially to me as I have a mixed heritage family. It is our responsibility to make moral decisions in difficult times and to give voice to inclusivity. It is my hope that one day these discussions will become less necessary and that we can help make equal representation in the Arts a reality.”

I’ve never heard of Ed Skrein.  I don’t know the story behind Hellboy.  I have no intention of seeing the reboot, and I never saw the original.

But I just can’t get over this gibberish.  Did he just google “Social Justice Warrior” and “Arts” and copy and paste a bunch of phrases that came up?  I mean this is some of the most unoriginal conformist garbage I’ve ever read.  It literally has no meaning except to indicate he’s caving to a bunch of angry left wing tweeters that just look for any pretense to bash whitey.

Trump’s Betrayal

He’s committing more troops to Afghanistan. He won’t define victory. He won’t set a timetable to end the war. It will almost certainly continue to the end of his presidency whether he’s forced out by Christmas or he makes it through 2020.  It’s disgraceful.

Prior to his running for president, I hated Donald Trump.  I thought he was a smug jerk who was popular among the type of people who watch reality TV shows.  And of course he was just that.  When he would occasionally make political speeches he would often espouse a superficial philosophy on government that I felt was completely at odds with libertarianism.

But when he called out the entire political establishment on their bullshit beginning in 2015, it was a true Emperor has no Clothes moment.  He was telling it like it was.  I certainly didn’t agree with everything he was saying.  How could I when he constantly contradicted himself?  But he wasn’t afraid to stand up to the Bushes and Clintons, and their allies in the media.

I voted for Donald Trump.  I did it for three main reasons:

  1. Foreign policy.  He called the Bush and Obama wars failures that were based on lies. He said we should stay out of Syria. He said we could be friends with Russia.
  2. He promised to reduce immigration.
  3. He stood up to the PC bullies who seek to silence and humiliate anyone who doesn’t publicly appease the angry and increasingly irrational Left.

He’s betrayed his supporters on Foreign Policy.  He bombed Syria based on lies and because his foolish daughter felt more murder and destruction was an appropriate response to alleged murder and destruction.  However, I still held out some hope when he later abandoned the Obama-Hillary strategy of funding the no-win insurgency there against the Russian backed dictator.

But now he’s re-escalating Afghanistan?  Is there anyone outside of Washington, D.C. who doesn’t work for a military contractor that actually thinks this war benefits the average American citizen in any way?  Does anyone still buy the “safe haven” bullshit at this point when the 9/11 hijackers were all Arabs, mainly Saudis, who trained right here in the United States and received funds from other Saudis?  Are people still scared of the “Taliban” which at this point is really just a name applied to the Pashtuns who are the largest tribe in Afghanistan and are not going to be “defeated” (whatever that means) by a few thousand additional troops?

When it comes to immigration, despite the hysterics emanating from the Left and their media allies, I’m not aware of anything he’s done to actually reduce it.  I’ve heard estimates that illegal immigration is down slightly, but I don’t know how anyone verifies that.  There was a plan released from the Trump administration that would potentially reduce immigration so I suppose the jury is still out on that one, but I’m not holding my breath.

As for standing up to the media and the PC police in general, I’ll give him some credit for not totally caving.  I still get a kick out of him bashing CNN or seeing some Democrat/”Centrist” Republican get the vapors because he refuses to ignore Left-wing violence and focus exclusively on a few powerless idiots wearing Nazi flags as the main threat to our freedom.

But even on this point, he’s allowed his true allies to be forced out of the White House after only a few months seemingly to placate the people that hate him and propagate lies that he’s a secret Nazi colluding with the evil Russians.  He now has himself surrounded by a bunch of ex-Generals and standard GOP henchmen.  As a result you see his idiotic flip-flop on the never ending Afghan Terror war.  It wouldn’t surprise me if they talk him into sounding more and more like Mitt Romney when it comes to condemning the evil “right wing,” i.e. anyone who doesn’t believe in the latest insane leftist orthodoxy surrounding  tansgenderism, white privilege, or the ability of certain statues to harm black people.

It truly is a sad day in the once free United States of America.
