This will fizzle out over the next few weeks. There won’t be more than a few thousand cases in the US and less than 100 deaths. We’ll hear nothing about it by the end of April.
There will be a few new cases in October. The media will try and hype it up as a story before the election, but there will be too many distractions for it to really take hold.
Assuming drug companies can make a vaccine for this, we’ll continue to have some fear-mongering in the press over the course of the next flu season.
